Maddox Newborn

Ten tiny fingers and ten tiny toes. Is there anything better than a sweet new baby?! The more newborns I work with the more I fall in love with Newborn Photography!! Every baby is different and I have learned to let them lead the way! Baby Maddox was my biggest baby yet! He didn’t fit in one of my baskets so thankfully I was prepared with multiple setups. I couldn’t get over how alert he was! He wasn’t going to miss a thing!

Armstrong Newborn

Welcome to the world baby Bailey! Your parents and big sister are so glad you are here! You were my tiniest baby yet! Since you were still pretty fresh you hadn’t quite got the hang of being bossy yet and I was successful in getting you asleep and you staying asleep! One thing is for sure you really didn’t like to be naked and boy as soon as the smallest piece of skin was exposed you let us know!! You, my dear, have your daddy wrapped around your little finger. You also have your mama’s heart! And, you are the luckiest girl to have a helpful big sister and I am pretty sure you will never have to walk when she is around ha ha! I love it!

Combs Newborn

I believe this big boy wanted to show me who was boss…and he won!! I have never worked so hard in my life ha ha!! All he wanted to do was check everybody and everything out and the last thing on his mind was SLEEP. But that’s ok, I loved looking into his little face and him watching what was going on around him!! The more I work with newborns the more I see who runs the show! 🙂

Sudie’s Milestones!

I am so glad I had pictures done of Grayden for his milestones (birth, newborn, 3mth, 6mth and one year) and I am so lucky to be able to capture Sudie’s! I have been using the same headband since birth for hers and I love seeing the difference in her face and features as she grows! Also how tight the headband gets ha ha!

Taydon Newborn

I cannot get over how sweet little Taydon is!! Oh how I enjoyed spending time with her, her mama and her grandma! She did so so good for being almost a month old…but she sure did make me work for it! Ha Ha! She made sure to let me know SHE was running this show! She also let us know when she had enough!

Introducing…Miss Sudie Wren Powell

December 30, 2006 marked the day I said I Do to my best friend, my partner in life Brent. December 30, 2015 marked the day our family added a new addition…our baby girl! I couldn’t ask for a better anniversary gift! Nine years of marriage marked by new life! And life hasn’t been the same since! Especially since this blog post has taken me THIS long to get up! Better late than never!

Big Announcement

When I decided to become a professional photographer the thought plagued me…what would I specialize in?? I am happy to say…I have made that decision. Thankfully I have “tasted” the waters of Engagements, Weddings, Newborns-One Year, Couples, Families, Maternity, Seniors, etc. This has allowed me to make my decision with certainty. While at first I can’t say I will turn away any other session but I will be marketing myself towards a very specific area.
